About Us

C.V. Raman FESTO CoE was established in the year 2014 in partnership with “FESTO”, a pioneering German company and a performance leader in industrial training and education with its innovations in factory and process automation for over 75 years. CGU’s FESTO Centre aims to support the nation by generating a trained workforce at facilities adhering to global standards while offering technical solutions and consultancies to local industries for Process Automation. Our highly sophisticated training equipment is divided into three sections or levels of training in Process Automation – Basic technologies, Partly automated and Fully automated systems. These include all fluids, gases and powdery substances employed in production whether these substances are used in manual or automated processes. Process Technology uses mostly closed-loop controllers and covers production, transportation, treatment and disposal.

What began as a training centre for Process Automation now offers training in Water Technology too in line with the WorldSkills guidelines. It is equipped with high-tech training kits and has been recognised for its incredible work in skills enhancement through prominent national awards.Skills imparted in the field of water technology have made students extremely proficient. The centre with its world-class training facilities has even earned a gold medal for Mr S. Aswatha Narayana in Water Technology at WorldSkills 2019 in Kazan, Russia and a silver medal for Mr Praveen Kumar Giri in Water Technology at WorldSkills 2022 in Stuttgart, Germany.

The institution aims to mould a new breed of technocrats with a competitive edge to match both national and international standards. The University aims at educating the students to become not only competent professionals but also excellent human beings, who would contribute towards the welfare of society and help in raising the quality of life of its people.
