About CGU International

The International Education Cell of CGU is managed by a dynamic and devoted team of members who are familiar with the International Education System and are up-to-date about the global sociocultural outreach scenario. They look after the diverse modalities of international education pertaining to admission schemes, scholarships, student exchanges, dual degrees, short-term & long-term study abroad programmes and global collaborations.

Exchange Program

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant should have 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point grade or equivalent grades for B. Tech & BBA students in aggregate for all subjects of qualifying examination i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent, from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with:​

  1. Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects chemistry, Bio-technology,computer science, Biology for admission to B. Tech program.
  2. English as a compulsory subject for admission to BBA program.

Applicant should have 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point grade or equivalent grades in aggregates in their qualifying degree.

Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination i.e four/five year Undergraduate program in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech and an appropriate UG degree for MBA/M.Sc program from any stream of education recognized as equivalent by the AIU/UGC/AICTE/other statutory bodies as applicable.

Applicant should have 55% aggregate marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point grade or equivalent grades in aggregates in their qualifying degree.

The minimum entry qualification for admission to Ph.D program shall be a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science/ Management /Humanities or any other equivalent qualification recognized by University.

  1. The Degrees/Certificates of the International Students should have been recognized and approved by the
    Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to the corresponding Indian Degrees/Certificates.
  2. They must hold a valid passport from their respective countries.
  3. Evidence of required academic performance must be in the form of certified English transcripts listing
    all the programs with the grades or marks earned. Transcripts in languages other than English are not
    acceptable.
  4. If the applicant has passed the qualifying examination where grades are awarded:
  •  Where the grades sheet doesn’t mention the equivalent percentage of marks from grade points, the candidate should submit a certificate of conversion from the concerned Institution/University mentioning either the converted percentage or the formula for the actual conversion of grade point average to percentage of marks.
  • Where the grade sheet itself mentions the equivalent percentage of marks from the grade points or formula for such conversion, the candidate should get both sides of the Degree/Grade sheet photocopied showing the equivalent percentage of marks/conversion formula and enclose with the Application Form.

  1. Candidates admitted to any course in this University shall not be eligible to pursue simultaneously any other full time course in this or in any other University/Institution.
  2. An international student who has been granted admission to a particular course shall not be allowed to change the course.
  3. All the international students required to produce medical fitness certificate. As per government rules all International students entering India on student visa have to be tested for HIV and will not be given admission if found to be positive. The following medical fitness testneed to be performed. Only those students who are found medically fit shall be admitted to different programs of the University.
  4. HIV Test (AIDS Test)
  5. Chest check-up (through X-Ray)
  6. Hepatitis surface Antigen (HBsAg) before admission
  7. General Medical Test
  8. All international students will be required to obtain medical insurance cover for the entire course of study, initially for the first year and then subsequently renew it for further years.

  1. The candidate should be in possession of valid TOEFL/IELTS score. However, the candidates with medium of instruction as English at the level of qualifying degree/certificate with the certification from Head of Institution/Govt. Official of the country can avail the waiver from valid TOFEL/IELTS score.
  2. Merit list shall be prepared on the basis of their aggregate score in the subject Physics, Mathematics and the other core subjects.
  3. Any other requirement prescribed by the University from time to time.

  1. Should have a valid TOFEL/IELTS score.
    The condition shall be waived-off in the event the University/Board from where the candidate has obtained the degree/certificate for qualifying examination that the medium of instruction of the courses taught for qualifying degree has been English.
  2. Admission shall be done on the basis of their aggregate score in the qualifying degree.

Candidates for Interview (online/offline) shall be short listed on the basis of aggregate score in qualifying degree. The selection will be based on this Interview by respective Department Research Committee (DRC).
