About Us

Today’s industry, based on Computers & Electronics, Robots & Biotechnology, Precision Manufacturing, and Nano-Materials is critically dependent on the maintenance of precise temperature and humidity. Today’s healthcare needs not only antibiotics and operation theatres but also the right indoor air movement and air quality in addition to optimum temperature and humidity. Fortunately for us, we have the technology – technology for giving ourselves precisely what we want, when we want, and where we want. But every good thing comes with a price; and the price of living comfortably at home, unconcerned of the outdoor temperature, humidity, or pollution level, is the installation of the right HVAC&R equipment and paying for the electricity to run them.

The Centre of Excellence on HVAC&R at C V Raman Global University is dedicated to the dual mission of:

• educating an ever-increasing number of engineers and technicians in the latest technologies of HVAC&R, and
• creating innovation towards reducing the cost of cooling, warming, humidifying, dehumidifying, and improving air quality.

The Centre boasts three well-equipped modern laboratories housing teaching equipment from the best international vendors, covering not only thermodynamic processes, heat transfer equipment, compressors, and controls, but also complete simulators of electrical systems of large R&AC plants. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in HVAC&R, supports research, and guides students to clear the ISHRAE-AEDC professional competence program of the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers. The Centre is proud of its culture where every individual – expert or novice, strives to attain his/her potential and to make the world a better place to live for everyone.
