HOD’s Message

MBA in today’s scenario is considered as a basic qualification for management positions be it in Finance, Marketing, and HR department of an organisation. The major advantages of pursuing MBA is the exposure to the theories of management and their practical implementations, it helps us understand the actual organisational environment, the work culture and the ways to become successful managers in various disciplines.

In the present global business environment, dynamic managers having vision, resource and proficiency to face the problems and challenges are in demand. Keeping this in view, Department of Business Management, CGU trains the students with quality education and skill sets required in the business world. The pedagogy followed is in coherence with the current requirements in order to bring out the best in the students to be a successful managers. The department provides a blended model of theory and practical aspects that match well with the short term and long term requirements of the industry. The department has experienced and young full-time core Faculty in all functional areas of management, who are engaged in teaching, research and outreach activities. The expertise of faculty is the main strength of the department that facilitated us to have a distinctive national professional standing.

Our department provides excellent environment to the students to hone up various management skills and has a continuous process of interaction with corporate, industry leaders through workshops, seminars, lectures and other extracurricular events. The department has able to attract leading firms in large number to take part in the campus recruitment. Today, our alumni have placed at the different leadership positions in the various private, public, multinational, government and non-profit organisations.

About Department

The Faculty of Management imparting MBA degree was established in the Year 2007. The programme is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The two-year MBA Programme is designed with the objective of making students corporate-ready, by equipping them with a holistic view of the business environment. The structure of the programme is planned to provide the students with requisite knowledge and management skills. Our faculty aims at carving a niche for itself in management education and adhering to global standards in the perspective of knowledge dissemination. It envisions achieving excellence in teaching and research, designing the pedagogy and course content adapting to the industry dynamics. We believe in fostering a culture of continual learning and to instill global perspectives through international and industry collaborations. Since inception, 12 batches of students have passed out from the school.
