I wish success to all students in their endeavor to join us on the journey of quality education & to have a great learning experience with my excellent, loving & caring team.
Dr. Taraprasad Mohapatra
Head, Dept. of Mechnical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the pioneer departments established at C. V. Raman Global University Bhubaneswar. It has a legacy of more than 2 decades and has developed exceptional human & research capital throughout these times.

The department provides B.Tech. M.Tech.,M.Tech. (by research), and Ph.D. degree programmes. It also offers minor area specialization in “Energy Engineering” and “Smart Manufacturing”. The department contains more than 10 teaching and research facilities, all of which have cutting-edge scientific equipment and systems.

The department’s objective is to be one of the top-rated departments in the world. To that end, the department seeks to produce high-quality graduates via a demanding curriculum and cutting-edge research. Students in the department are exposed to today’s societal concerns and are educated to solve such problems via inventive thinking to produce relevant technology solutions. The department’s academic members drive these activities via their teaching and various research programmes, which comprehend many aspects of Mechanical Engineering and its Applications. Students in the department are encouraged to engage in co-curricular activities in addition to their normal academic work.

The department has grown throughout time to meet the ever-increasing difficulties of technological development while keeping a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering. While much of today’s Mechanical Engineering research is interdisciplinary, requiring knowledge from a variety of other science and engineering disciplines, the department’s faculty members’ research work is divided into three broad streams: Thermal and Fluids Engineering, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. Apart from this joint academic and funding researches have been initiated with faculty members of other Engineering departments and Faculties as well.

We endeavor to continue moving on the path of progress and excellence in the future as well.

Vision
